Required: Trip Acknowledgement Form

Please check the attached link to confirm we have received your WIBC Trip Acknowledgement form. These were due on Wednesday, November 9th! We need these ASAP.

**IMPORTANT!** Thursday Morning: Arrival @ Airport

Updated Arrival Plan

• Due to school bus routes, LISD cannot provide transportation to the airport.
• Please make travel plans for rides to the airport - carpooling is highly encouraged!
• As a reminder, LISD policy is that a parent must be driving when traveling to/from trips.

Call Time @ ABI Airport

• 6:00am (or earlier - directors will be at the drop-off point at 5:45am)

Where to Meet

• We will meet at Arrivals at a Baggage Claim.
• The exact meeting spot will be shared with you next week via Remind and/or email.

What About Luggage & Instruments?

• We will no longer be bringing luggage to school next Wednesday.
• Travelers need to bring their luggage and instrument with them on Thursday morning!

• Arrival Time - 11:39am

Luggage & Pre-Pay

General Luggage Info

• Students may check one bag (cannot weigh more than 50 pounds)
• If you will be checking a bag, the cost is $60 round trip, or $30 per flight
• We have set up a pre-pay system for checked bags
• Pre-pay must be completed by end of day Tuesday, November 15th

How to Pre-Pay for Checked Bags

1. Head to our trip website portal, then go back into your reservation as if you were making a payment
2. Click on "Manage Booking" and then click on "Add More Options to Booking"
   
3. You will then have an option to prepay your Round Trip luggage fees. The first bag is $60 RT
4. Must be completed by end of day Tuesday, November 15th

Not Pre-Paying (please do not do this!)

• This will slow down check-in tremendously
• Students will need to check themselves in to pay for their own luggage
• A credit card will be required to do this
• Remember - planes don't wait! Please pre-pay to avoid doing this

Checking Instruments

• Small instruments (Flute/Piccolo, Oboe, Clarinets, Trumpets, Alto Saxes) will be carried onto the plane.
• Large instruments (Bassoons, Tenor Sax, Bari Sax, Horns, Trombones, Euphs, Tubas, Percussion) will be checked separately. Glenn Band Boosters are helping to pay this cost; this will not be an additional baggage cost for individual travelers.

Seattle Weather - A "True November Experience"

Here is the current projection for weather in Seattle:

• Thursday 11/17: High of 47, Low of 37
• Friday 11/18: High of 47, Low of 36
• Saturday 11/19: High of 45, Low of 37
• Sunday 11/20: High of 41, Low of 28

Make sure you have: Coats - the right shoes - gloves - hats - hand warmers - rain coats - umbrellas - etc!

Concert Tickets

The band boosters will be sending an email out this weekend with information on how family members may purchase tickets for our Honor Band Concert. Chaperone concert tickets will be provided.

Sunday Afternoon: Returning from Seattle

Return Flight Information

• Alaska Airlines Flight #1146
• Departure Time - 6:00pm
• Arrival Time - 11:58pm

Upon Arrival in Austin

• We will wait for all travelers to exit the plane as a group near our gate
• We will travel to baggage claim together
• Parents, please be ready to meet us at Arrivals by our baggage claim
• Students will need to check out with a director or your chaperone before leaving the airport
• Again, we encourage parents to help with traveling students by carpooling!
